Butt in Terriers frame

Huddersfield are searching for a new manager after Lee Clark was sacked earlier this week following just over three years at the helm.

A number of names have been linked with the position at the Galpharm Stadium and former England international Butt is thought to have expressed an interest in the role.

Butt is thought to be keen to take his first steps into management after taking his coaching badges and he is ready to throw his hat into the ring for the Huddersfield job.

Despite his lack of management experience, Butt boasts a glittering CV as a player having made over 250 appearances for Manchester United and won 39 caps for England.
